Description
The 3D Squirrel Garden Art Puzzle is intended to be cut from metal using a CNC cutting system. Once cut, you can assemble the pieces of the squirrel together to create a 3D version. Then, please the squirrel in the garden, yard, or keep it on the coffee table for entertainment. This artwork is a 3D squirrel puzzle.
Machinist Notes
For this design, it's really important to get the insert slots to the exact size to ensure the pieces fit together. This design is intended to be cut on 12 gauge metal (~0.104" thick). We recommend running a few test cuts to make sure your machine is tuned just right. We tested using new consumables, 45 amp, 137 volts, 48 IPM on a Torchmate table. With these settings, the pieces needed a little clean-up, but came out fitting well.
If you want to use something other than 12 gauge or you wish to change the size of the design, you will have to modify the DXF file using CAD software. Review the tables below for more detailed specifications.
